Review
FxFoto Standard is a basic free image editor that includes several tools for fixing pictures. It offers various effects, and users are able to create picture slides. The program comes with a detailed tutorial, but the interface itself is very simple. You can improve pictures automatically or manually, remove red-eye effects, apply distinct effects, add frames and borders, fix colors, crop, add text captions, etc. FxFoto has a zooming tool with fine control over magnification. Once your pictures are fixed, you can create a slide show with transitions or simply save the edited JPEG and TIFF photo files.
There are also three other editions: deluxe, media, and creative; which contain more tools and features. Unlike these editions, FxFoto Standard cannot create multi-photo collages, layouts, or scrapbook pages. Also advanced tools like artistic Filter Effects, Color Brush, Stamp Brush, or special Patterns are disabled. Still the Standard Edition allows you to try these advanced effects and preview the results without saving. |

What's new in version 6.0
FxFoto 6 is now available with improved slide show support, including wipe transitions and drag and drop re-ordering. The full FxFoto Media Edition now supports MPEG-4, MPEG-2, AVI, WMV, Flash SWF and PDF slide shows.
New in this version find improved slide show support, wipe transitions and drag and drop re-ordering. Also Save dialog added "Cancel" and "Remove saved images" option. Now FxFoto can be Windows' default program viewer for JPEG and TIFF files. The Options dialog has been reorganized with new settings and categories (find more a the website). |
